During the empathy unit, students will learn how to understand each other and how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are directly related to one another. Our focus with the empathy unit will be to learn how to control our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
About: Our counseling department is dedicated to providing services to all students throughout the school. We have two counselors- Ms. Range and Ms. Tench. Ms. Range serves students in grades first, fourth and fifth while Ms. Tench serves students in grades kindergarten, second, and third. Together, we conduct a variety of small groups (grief, social skills, self regulation, emotional support, family structural changes, and friendship, etc) and classroom guidance lessons in addition to providing students with individual counseling services. Both counselors are 504 chairs, SST coordinators, and aid in the RTI behavior process.
